Christian rap artist D’Aych melds the raw intensity of rap with the spiritual message of Christianity. In his new mixtape, “The Sacred Life,” D’Aych lays down some amazing tracks that reflect not only his past life struggles but celebrates his love of God and calls us all to serve.

“Follow Me” is D’Aych’s response to Christ’s commission to follow Him. It’s a tough, fast story of what it’s like to follow the Lord and it’s deeply meaningful. “Bigger Than Music” is D’Aych’s story of how creating Christian rap is bigger than his own personal dreams, it’s all part of a spiritual and evangelical movement to spread the truth.

“Something To Say” is his own message to all of us; it combines not only his religious struggles but his struggles with life itself. His message comes through strong and clear though, the struggle is worth it. “Serve’n” is a truly hardcore rap ode about being the servant of the Lord, and how we ALL are His servants.

His title track, “The Sacred Life,” is a tongue-twister of rap rhyme and heartfelt lyrics. Celebrating where he’s come from and where he’s going, D’Aych gives all the glory to God. But some of the praise deservedly goes to D’Aych, who pours his heart and (literally) his soul into each track.

D’Aych keeps all the fire of rap but creates his own raw, unadulterated lyrics while giving all praise to God. When you think about it, that’s not easy to do, and his seamless integration of Christianity and rap sends a powerful and compelling message.
